Chap Goh Mei

CNY is officially over.

How depressing.

No more ang pows..!!!!

No more reason to gamble.

No more excuses to be lazy.

No more excuses to pig out on yummy food, fragrant cookies, gassy drinks and other things loaded with calories and what not.

SIGH.

Chap Goh Mei is also known as Chinese's Valentine's Day, hence the 'kam throwing ceremony'.

Instead of the traditional 'kam throwing ceremony' at some lake or river...WAIT..!! Not that I ever do it, but it's a Chinese tradition to do so. And many hopeful individuals actually practice it in hope of meeting their destiny.

So, on the night of Chap Goh Mei:

Ladies stand at the top of a bridge with mandarin orange in hand (mandarion orange is scribbled with their name, contact details and such), and toss it in to the lake/river below them.

Men stand at foot of the river/lake waiting expectantly for the oranges to float their way. Once retrieved from the muddy water, the men will immediately contact the female party.

I highly doubt that it will work for me, but seriously, one year, I shall go to one of these places and NOT join the ceremony, but I just wanna see it for myself. Some what being a part of the experience, bwahahaha.

As I was saying, I spent Chap Goh Mei morning at my aunt's place, went home in the afternoon to prepare myself for dinner with a friend and another two friend's birthday.

So this is what a friend and I had at Oh! Sushi in Midavalley Megamall:

Clockwise from top: Salmon and White Tuna Sushi, Ten Ten Mee (noodles with minced pork and some kinda fried chicken set.

I must say the Ten Ten noodles are pretty disappointing. There's nothing else in the bowl besides what you see and the Ajinomoto like free only. We had another pot of something, but no pics. That's freaking nice. Nextime only show IF I go there for that pot again.

****

Went to Bangsar after dinner to meet birthday boy in cockpit.

That's birthday boy, Shawn with all the hot chicks. His babe is the one in white. She dem chun edi, got prettier while I wasnt here. I wonder what's her secret. HOW COME I NEVER GOT PRETTIER WANNNNNNNNNNN...!?!?!!!?!??!?!?

Embarassment of the year award goes to me, without fail:

You see my top in the picture, like very conservative right?

But knowing the weather and the temperature in KL, I bought a backless top. So there's only 2 strings holding up the top behind.

One side of the strings popped when I bent down to pick something up from the floor...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SUAY to the max can or not?

Luckily, being the vainpot that I am, I actually brought 2 tops, lolz, so managed to change. I tell you something, you don't tell others okies? I changed in the car, in front of a busy raod filled with traffic. WHat made it worse was that there's a traffic light a couple of meters away, and every time the light turned red, heaps of cars filled with typical Mat Motors stopped in front of me..!!! OMG....die la die la...

I hope Shawn doesnt reads my blog.

Because, I made up a lie to go to the next party in The Loft, KL. Konon la, my mom wants me home by 12, and being the nice friend I was, I left at 12.45. Hehehe. Sorry Shawn, I owe you, big time. Hugs.

Let me present to you, Flaming Lamborghini.

Kor gave me 2 on my farewell, gone to the max. Not to mention I had don't-remember-how-many-drinks before the 2 flamings, so my farewell was very memorable. Hahaha.

Some more in the same place, but it was called Pharmacy back then. Good memories I must say.

Pics from the loft:

The loft, the bar, the lights, the crowd, the music.

See that fat guy in black with specs? He was staring at me the whole time I was dancing. Dem no manners. His mum probably never told him it's rude to stare.

There's other pics, with me in the other top. But Hakim hasn't send them to me yet.

The top showed off my fading tan lines horrendously. They are fading, but I think the green of my top sets off the tan extremely well for some reason. Probably cause I'm flushed from alcohol as well.

Maybe I wont post them. See la, if Hakim has got nice pics, then I post la.

They played house music.

The music was good but I wasn't drunk.

Hence, didn't enjoy the night as much as I thought I would.

Not to mention the Ajinomoto from the Japanese dinner was taking heavy effect on me and my throat felt like someone poured sand in it.

That's it for now.

Enjoy.
